Lesson: True wisdom is beyond words
A powerful king heard of a yogi who had not spoken a word in 30 years. Curious, the king sent messengers to invite him to his court, but the yogi refused. Determined, the king rode to the yogi’s hermitage and asked,
“O great sage, why do you remain silent?”
The yogi smiled and wrote on the ground: "Wisdom cannot be spoken, only experienced."
The king challenged, “Then what is the greatest wisdom?”
The yogi drew a circle in the sand and pointed to the sky.
The king was puzzled, but a minister explained,
“The circle represents wholeness—no beginning, no end. The sky is infinite, like consciousness. The greatest wisdom is to realize we are one with the infinite.”
The king bowed in reverence and left in deep thought.
