The Yogi and the Broken Idol

Lesson: The divine is beyond form

A king once invited a yogi to bless his golden idol of Lord Shiva.

As soon as the yogi arrived, he smashed the idol to the ground, shattering it.

The king was furious:
"How dare you break the image of God?"

The yogi calmly replied,
"If your God can be broken, it is not real. The true Shiva is within you, not in stone."

The king understood his mistake, abandoned idol worship, and began seeking God within himself.

Moral: God is not in objects, but in the awakened soul.
