The Yogini Who Walked on Water

Lesson: Faith is stronger than doubt

A great sage was teaching his disciples when a simple village woman approached him and asked:

"Master, can I reach enlightenment?"

The sage, wanting to test her faith, said:
"Only if you cross the river without a boat."

With complete faith, the woman walked onto the river and across it, as if on solid ground.

The sage and his disciples were stunned.

The sage then thought to himself, "If she can do it, so can I."
But as soon as doubt entered his mind, he sank into the water.

Moral: Faith without doubt can perform miracles, but even the slightest doubt can sink us.
